Common questions

How do I join?

Kin is in private beta on iPhone. Ask a friend who is on Kin for an invite link, install the app through TestFlight, then open the link.

A photo would not post.

Every photo is checked automatically before anyone sees it. If it was refused, choose a different photo. If you saw "We couldn't check that photo", it was a temporary problem: try again in a moment.

I am not getting notifications.

Open Settings → Notifications in Kin. If it says notifications are off, turn them on in iOS Settings → Kin. Likes never send a push, and muted groups stay quiet.

Someone is bothering me.

Block them from their profile; it is instant and they are not told. Report anything that breaks the community rules from the ··· menu on a Moment, comment, message, profile or group. Reports are read by a person.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Delete account. Everything is removed immediately: profile, photos, messages, friendships. There is no undo.

I forgot my password.

On the sign-in screen, type your email and tap "Forgot password?". The reset link opens Kin on your phone.
